Boca Executive Title And Why?

A few months ago when Zev announced that he was going to open Boca Executive Title with partners Landis & Mallinger, P.L.,Attourneys At Law- I thought to myself this is a distraction from selling real estate and really didn't see the long term value of the title company.

In the last two transactions it has become very clear that having an automatic attorney review of the closings is a good thing. With the real estate market going internet the scammers have come out to stake their claim. Now more then ever a careful review of all documents must be a priority.

Many of our clients have met Erica in our front office, but did you know she comes with a legal background. She is our line in the sand. Now we might not like it when she makes us go back to get the missing document but imagine the other options. Here is an example of what happened in Palm Beach County- Flager Title Closed it's doors and disappeared. There are people who's hard earned money is in jeopardy. I have cut and pasted a little of the story below from MSNBC and will paste a link to the whole story.
Imagine having a closing all set for next week...payday and then this hits the morning news. Here is an except from the news in Palm Beach Gardens Florida>This story is from MSNBC.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The president of one of the country?s largest title companies has closed his business and disappeared from West Palm Beach. Employees and friends of Flagler Title Company owner Roger Gamblin said on Thursday that he hasn?t been seen in 15 days. However, they wouldn?t comment when asked if Gamblin fled the company and possibly the country.

An official document stated that Gamblin took out a $500,000 line of credit two months ago on his West Palm Beach home. His cell phone was shut off, and friends said he sold all of his cars for cash.
